A Trip Out Of The Twilight Zone That Is My My Comfort Zone…

It seems we’re always moving, aren’t we? We start at childhood and once we figure out how to stand on our own, we never really stop.

We scramble to stay ahead of the pack in our profession. We chase after each other and then we run around to find the perfect wedding venue and home when we succeed. We race to get the kids to school, to soccer games, to dance lessons.

We run after the grand-kids. We run to the grocery store. The cleaners. The gas station before the price goes up. Again.

Does it ever end? (You know the answer, don’t you?)

It seems we’re always running from one place to another but we rarely feel like we’ve arrived.

What we all need is a space between places, a corner of the world where we can just… stop.

We know just the place. Nature laid the groundwork and we took care of the rest. It’s waiting for you. Let us be your space between places.

Well, what did you think of my attempt at Marketing 101? Am I a Don Draper acolyte? Or a total washout?

See you in the lobby, kids…

About The Hook

Husband. Father. Bellman. Author of The Bellman Chronicles. Reader of comic books and observer and chronicler of the human condition. And to my wife's eternal dismay, a mere mortal and non-vampire. I'm often told I look like your uncle, cousin, etc. If I wore a hat, I'd hang it on a hat rack in my home in Niagara Falls, Canada. You can call me The Hook, everyone else does.

  1. A “space between places” is a great line. The lead in talked about races. You might want to refine a little to a “space between races.” Would be a good summary to your set up. Nice job.

  3. …and that’s why the vast majority of my vacations are sitting and not thinking one single thought for as long as possible. Well, and of course the time off and money… 🙂

    Are you advertising a bathroom?

    A space between places…I like it! 🙂
